Red Cow North Loop
One of our favorite restaurants in Minneapolis, Red Cow has frequently been the place we take all out-of-towners! Ashley's favorite burger is the Breakfast Burger, and Kelsey's is the 60/40.
Red Rabbit Minneapolis
A branch of Red Cow, Red Rabbit offers Pizza, Pasta, and Oysters! We LOVE the Bolognese. Also highly recommend Brunch!

Chef Sean Sherman of the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe has made a fierce name for the indigenous foods of Minnesota. **Make reservations in advance for this James Beard Award winning uniquely Minnesotan restaurant that we are privileged to witness the growth of from a front-row seat.
Surly Brewing Co.
Definitely check out their amazing food hall and the pizza shop upstairs in addition to the wide array of beer!!! 10/10 recommend
O'Shaughnessy Distilling Co.
We took Ashley's dad, Wai, on the O'Shaughnessy Distillery Tour for his birthday in October 2023. Keeper's Heart Irish Whiskey is where it's at! We definitely recommend the $10 tour and happy hour at their food hall.

Minnesota Orchestra
An organization and orchestra hall near and dear to our hearts, check out the Summer concerts at 1111 Nicollet Mall!
Guthrie Theater
Even if you just go in to check out the awesome view from the extending balcony that looks over the parkway just below and a fantastic view of the river.
The Main Cinema
Formerly the St. Anthony Main Theater, a fun place to catch recently out of circuit box office hits as well as documentaries and filmed productions. $5 Tuesdays!
Water Works Park
Fun little park area with lawn games and fire pits just outside our front door!
Como Park Zoo & Conservatory
A zoo and a garden all in one! Great place to see beautiful plants and animals from the many outdoor and indoor gardens to the sloth who hangs out in the front entryway cage-free (because he isn't gonna go anywhere...let's be honest)
Lake Harriet
A great smaller lake for a walk around, and potential for free live music at Bandshell Park!
Lake Bde Maka Ska
[B'day-mahKA-Skah] A larger busier lake frequently used for exercise, and with more of a skyline view! Often you can see sailboats out on the lakes as motorized boats are not permitted.
Cedar Lake East Beach (aka Hidden Beach)
Known as Hidden Beach, this was a pleasantly quiet place in the heart of a busy city. We went on one of our first dates here after we moved in together. Fast forward 3 years, we ordered our engagement rings from an online company in California and Ashley said they "were delayed in transit" -but really she had them and wanted to find a special moment for us to try them on together. We decided to go for a walk in March 2021 to get some fresh air and went back to Hidden Beach where it was revealed our rings had arrived and we officially got engaged!
Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
A MUST-SEE for anyone who hasn't been to the iconic Cherry & Spoon fountain before. Admission to the outdoor gardens is free, mini-golf & Walker Art Center are ticketed.
Minneapolis Institute of Art
Always something new and exciting at MIA! We have enjoyed exploring the many galleries and seeing some of the special exhibits, like the "Egypt's Sunken Cities" pictured above!
Weisman Art Museum
The silver behemoth across the river on the U of M's East Bank Campus, this free museum was frequented by the Ng family with its evocative and modernist approach to displays and collections. Parking garages are connected to the museum.
Costco Business Center
One of Ashley's favorite places in Minneapolis. If you're a Costco member and haven't yet been graced with a Business Center in your city/state, it really is worth checking out! *Bring a jacket for their impressive walk-in fridge department that we've been given jackets by the Costco staff to borrow one slow Summer day.
