Our love story begins in true millennial fashion - via text. But before then, it began with 2 special people - Jon & Katie Andrews. Adriana and Katie became friends in Boston during grad school. Jon, Katie’s husband, & Jason’s best friend, would visit Katie and talk about how he knew the perfect person for Adriana and vice versa to Jason. Adriana was a few months out from leaving Boston to start her first clinical externship in Minneapolis. Because of timing, Jason & Adriana tucked away the idea of meeting and Adriana went to Minneapolis while Jason stayed in Pennsylvania. In July 2017 Jason sent Adriana a text. They talked daily and fantasized about when they would meet. Adriana was leaving soon for her next assignment in Miami so Jason & Adriana came up with a CRAZY plan - meet for the first time in Nashville. Without hesitation, Jason flew to Nashville while Adriana drove 15 hours and they met on August 26th, 2017. Jason & Adriana started their Nashville night at an Italian restaurant. Trying to break the ice, Jason tucked his napkin into his collar as a joke, but Adriana didn’t say anything to be polite. They continued to have fun on Broadway enjoying live music and *some* drinks. After a few bars, they ended up at Tootsies. At this point, Jason hadn’t made a move because he was trying to be respectful. Adriana was tired of waiting & kissed him right on the spot! The next morning, Adriana & Jason went to breakfast in rough shape. Jason spent most of breakfast in the “bathroom” while Adriana had breakfast alone. As part of their deal, Jason agreed to drive the first 5 hours to Miami. Adriana offered to go first and Jason took a nap, with some snoring, before waking up 2 hours later. Surprisingly, Adriana didn't mind and they made it to Miami, continued their relationship, and have been together ever since!

The proposal was a surprise at Holter Lake in Montana with the help of 2 special friends - Jess & Joe. While taking a picture, Jason had the ring behind Adriana's back. After looking at the photo, Adriana saw what was in it. She turned to him and he asked her to marry him.
