We want our wedding to reflect our relationship: our love of show tunes and theatricality while balancing Joshua's tendency toward darker aesthetics with Molly's love of bright, cheerful colors. It was a natural conclusion to think of "Wicked" as a wedding theme! Although a wedding is only "One Short Day," we wanted to force a musical - I mean, share the love of a musical with the important people in our lives. More than just a beautiful design inspiration, "Wicked" carries with it themes of self acceptance, of the importance of keeping people in our lives who challenge us to grow, and of the courage to stand up for others, even when it is not "Popular." We share these values and believe that reinforcing them in our love is our way of "Defying Gravity." So whether you're a seasoned musical fan, or are allergic to the very concept of "show tunes", we hope you can feel the levity, hope, and joy encapsulated in our "Wicked" Wedding!
