Neighborhoods to Stay In: For guests traveling from overseas, we recommend staying at the Schloss Hotel Berlin during the wedding weekend (October 17-19). After the celebrations, consider exploring and staying in other neighborhoods to experience more of Berlin. The central district, Mitte is ideal for first-time visitors. It’s close to major attractions like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island, with great restaurants and public transport connections. Attractions we recommend: Explore the East Side Gallery – Walk along the longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall, covered in colorful murals. Visit the Reichstag Building – Climb to the glass dome for stunning views of the city (reservation required so book tickets now!!!). Discover Museum Island – A UNESCO World Heritage site with five world-class museums. Checkpoint Charlie & DDR Museum – Learn about Cold War history and life in East Germany. Brandenburg Gate – Visit this iconic landmark and symbol of German unity.
Black Tie Optional or Formal While this is still an elevated event, men are not required to wear a tuxedo (although it's encouraged). A dark suit is acceptable. Women are more than welcome to wear a floor-length dress, but if you prefer a knee-length cocktail dress, then feel free.
We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration.
