We're getting married!

Sydney and AJ’s story technically starts long before they ever became Sydney & AJ. Their mutual friend Bailey, Sydney’s college best friend and AJ’s friend since toddlerhood, had been bringing them into the same orbit for years. They crossed paths at parties, birthdays, beach weekends… always friendly, always familiar, but never quite at the right place at the right time. That changed one summer in Manasquan. Sydney and AJ both had share houses with their friends down the shore, and one night, during the kind of happy chaos only a Jersey Shore summer can create, Sydney spotted a kayak sitting in the corner of the garage. She called out, “Who wants to go sunrise kayaking with me?” AJ shot his hand up instantly! The sunrise may not have been perfectly timed, and their coordination may have been questionable, but in that early moment, something clicked. To this day, AJ still has Sydney saved in his phone as “Kayak Queen.” After that weekend, AJ made it his mission to see Sydney again. Back in Hoboken, he asked her out, and before long they fell into an easy rhythm together, dinners, nights out with friends, long walks around town, gym dates, spontaneous adventures, and endless laughter. They built their relationship on fun, on friendship, and on being completely themselves with one another. As their lives intertwined, they moved in together in Jersey City and adopted their beloved puppy, Jack, who quickly became the center of their world. Along the way, they met each other’s families, shared countless trips and everyday adventures, and built a life full of laughter and love. Together, they have navigated life’s happiest celebrations and its hardest challenges, always choosing each other, every time, every day. Then, one beautiful evening, back on the Manasquan beach where everything began, AJ asked Sydney to marry him. It was full circle in the most perfect way. The celebration didn’t stop there, after the proposal, they headed to Asbury Park to toast the moment, a night that instantly became one of their favorites. Which makes this next part even more meaningful: their wedding hotel block is in Asbury Park, bringing their loved ones right back to the place where they celebrated saying “yes.” Another full-circle moment. After years of building a life together, full of shared dreams and countless memories, they can’t wait to say 'I do' this September and celebrate with the people who have been part of their journey from the beginning.
