Connected to the Westin, the Galleria mall is right there if you’re looking for coffee, shopping, or an easy place to walk around. - Good Earth: Reliable for breakfast, lunch, or a casual bite. Try the Go Green lemonade and thank us later :) - CōV: Cute coastal vibe and perfect for lunch or dinner - CRAVE: A go to sushi bar and American kitchen There is also a Starbucks and Crisp & Green.
Downtown Excelsior
We highly recommend spending some time in downtown Excelsior on Friday before our welcome party at Pique Travel. Grab a drink, wander the shops, and enjoy a walk near Lake Minnetonka. - The Commons: Lovely place to relax, take in the lake views, or catch the sunset. - The Lobby Coffee & Leisure: Our go to spot to grab the best coffee- the iced cappuccino is a must - Maynard's: The most classic Excelsior meetup—perfect for drinks on the patio and taking in the lake views - Olive's Pizza: We are obsessed with Olive's pizza! Try the Fresno - Parlour: Known in MN for its iconic burgers and cocktails in a cozy setting - Lagos Tacos: Go to delicious Mexican food in the neighborhood - Excelsior Brewing Company: Fun and laid-back stop for local beer (Across the street from Pique) - Big debate over the best desert: Adele's Frozen Custard (Libby's pick) vs. Lick's Unlimited Ice Cream (AJ's pick) You can't go wrong with either!
Edina
There is lots to do in Edina near the Westin hotel! -Kowalskis: Local Minnesota grocery store with anything you may need and tons of food options -Southdale Mall: Nearby mall with plenty of stores and dining options if you’re looking to wander or run errands -RH Rooftop: Fun spot for a drink or bite, with great views and a really pretty space -Puttshack: Mini golf spot if you are in the mood -50th & France: A fun, walkable neighborhood area with plenty of places to eat, drink, and pop into shops
Paisley Park, The Estate of Prince
Just 5 minutes from Libby's childhood home, Paisley Park is such a unique Minnesota experience! You can tour Prince’s iconic recording studio and creative space celebrating his legacy.
University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
About 10 minutes from our venue at Bavaria Downs, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is the largest and most diverse horticultural site in the state, with nearly 100 years of history and beautiful gardens perfect for an easy, scenic walk.
Mall of America
As the largest mall in America, MOA has everything and is a fun stop if you’re in the mood to wander, shop, and eat.
Downtown Wayzata
Downtown Wayzata is a great spot to stroll, shop and enjoy Lake Minnetonka. - Punch Pizza: A MN classic go-to for Neapolitan-style pizza - Grocer's Table: Market, cafe, and wine bar. (Arguably the best chocolate chip cookie in the state!) - Red Cow: Great burgers, cocktails, and an easy crowd-pleaser - Macanda: Modern American cuisine with a great bar and a lively atmosphere, perfect for dinner or drinks -6Smith: A vibrant go to Wayzata spot known for craft cocktails, elevated dishes, and lakeside views
North Loop
If you're in Minneapolis, exploring the North Loop neighborhood is one of our favorite things to do! -Smack Shack: This was our first MN date spot and is perfect for seafood and lobster rolls with a fun vibe -Runyons: Known for it's classic award winning wings (our favorite!) -Hewing Hotel: A must for cocktails on the rooftop with a great view of the city
Honey & Rye Bakehouse
We couldn't miss our all time favorite bakery and coffee stop in our cute neighborhood of St. Louis Park. Their tag line speaks for itself: "baked with butter and love". Make sure to grab a monkey bread latte and chocolate croissant!
