After a few weeks of flirting back and forth in the large animal barn, AJ finally got up the courage to ask Kylie for her number. Kylie was working as a large animal caretaker during the summer between her first and second year of veterinary school, and AJ was a fourth year student doing his large animal rotations. AJ saw Kylie cleaning one of the stalls, and thought it was the perfect time to swoop in. As AJ walked up, all Kylie could think about was how sweaty she was and how she probably had horse poop on her scrub top. AJ started to fill up the water bucket in the stall, but the water came out quicker than expected and sprayed water all over his crotch! With a bright red face, AJ said "ah this is so embarrassing." To which Kylie explained the exact same thing happened to her yesterday with the same water hose. Long story short, he got her number and she squealed behind the chutes later that day when he texted her.

AJ came up to visit Kylie during one of her externship rotations in Eureka, California. They planned to go to Patricks Point State Park for the day. During their hike to the famous Wedding Rock, they wandered off the trail to a more secluded area overlooking the crashing waves and the beautiful tree-line along the bluffs. AJ pulled out a beautiful ring and asked Kylie to be his wife, to which Kylie said "DUH!" Now we want our family and close friends to experience the magic of Patricks Point State Park too!
