Joleen McSurley

Co-Maid of Honor

After meeting each other in 7th grade art class, Kasey and Joleen have been inseparable ever since. From talking Clinton-Massie football, to hanging out by the pool, there's never a dull moment when these two get together. There's never a lack of conversation or laughter. To say that Joleen is memorable, is an understatement. Although her mouth occasionally gets her into trouble, she's honest to a fault. It's that quality that Kasey appreciates that the most about her. Even in the darkest times, Joleen has always been a piece of support. She has a heart of gold (as any nurse has) and loves to make people smile. Kasey can't begin to describe her love for Joleen and can't imagine anyone else being by her side.

Rachel Rose

Co-Matron of Honor

Best friends since high school, Kasey and Rachel have spent countless nights planning their weddings since their senior year (sorry, AJ and Dylan). So how many nights have they spent talking about their wedding days? Too many! Rachel's vision for her and Dylan's wedding came to fruition in August, and now it's Kasey's turn! EEEEKKKK! These two also share a love traveling and getting away with their guys! From driving 12 hours to Destin for their senior trip to spending the weekend exploring Asheville, NC, there have been laughter galore and long nights of euchre playing. By the way, the girls still claim to be the champions. Having Rachel as a part of this special day brings all those wedding planning gab sessions full circle.

Taryn Taugher

Bridesmaid

A love of basketball landed both Kasey and Taryn at Northern Kentucky University. Between being roommates to teammates, Kasey never thought she would meet the sister she never had. Taryn's antics, infectious laugh, and hilarious comments are just a few of the qualities Kasey loves in her. With Taryn living in Michigan, it doesn't allow these two to see each other as much as they want. Fortunately for Kasey, Taryn is a free spirit who said yes to joining Kasey's family on a houseboat vacation at Lake Cumberland this year. Needless to say, she quickly became an honorary Uetrecht within the first ten minutes of stepping on the boat. Everyone who knows Taryn loves her personality and warmth. This day wouldn't be complete without Taryn by Kasey's side.

Kate Gorman

Bridesmaid

Kate and Kasey met while she was newly dating a friend from high school. Like most people who know Kate, Kasey instantly fell in love with her and her very sweet personality. However, it was during a sand volleyball game when Kate lashed out and ripped into her now fiance that Kasey knew she and Kate would be great friends. Whether hanging out by the pool, watching an Ohio State football game, or playing euchre, Kasey loves talking and spending time with Kate. Her kindness and humor are second to none and Kasey cannot imagine her big day without this dear friend.

Mikayla Pitman

Bridesmaid

Mikayla is Kasey's favorite cousin and someone who's saved her many times during family gatherings. As children, they grew up together playing dress-up and performing karaoke in front of the family. These two snickering little girls always loved being together. As they grew older, their love of 4-H, teaching, coaching, and boating brought them even closer together. Mikayla's kind heart and sweet soul exudes when she talks to you, and Kasey is honored to have her standing with her on the best day of her life.

Rachel (Avery) Weiss

Bridesmaid

With Kasey only having two brothers, she is thrilled to be gaining not one, but two new sisters! And they don't come any kinder and sweeter than Rachel. With her being two years younger than A.J. and Kasey, she was able to watch their relationship unfold from the start. Kasey was fortunate enough to serve as Rachel's "chaos coordinator" for her wedding. This included going to a Randy Fenoli bridal trunk show where they actually met Randy. As big fan of "Say Yes to the Dress," Kasey completely lost her cool when she actually got to meet him. Kasey feels so blessed to be gaining such an incredible person as Rachel as her sister-in-law.

McKenzie Avery

Bridesmaid

As A.J.'s youngest sister, it is safe to say that A.J. and Kenzie are clones of each other. Their personalities, competitiveness, and humor are so similar, it's almost uncanny. She and Kasey both relate to the fact that they were tormented as kids by their brothers. This explains why Kenzie is so tough and competitive in everything that she does. Kasey had the privilege of being one of Kenzie's high school basketball coaches, which was a lot of fun (at least for Kasey ;) As much as Kenzie is a tough cookie, she's also very compassionate and kind towards other people. Kasey is proud to be gaining her as a sister.

Kristian Avery

Co-Best Man

Kristian is A.J.’s oldest brother; and he wears this badge with honor! A.J. credits his toughness and competiveness from continuously getting thumped on over the years when they were younger. While they share a love of football and hunting, they also share a love their families most of all! A.J’s best memory with Kristian is playing 1v1 football in their front yard with their dad until the sun set. A.J. claims to have never won; he is still salty… While Kristian is a great brother, he's an even better dad to A.J’s sweet nieces, Rieleigh and Josie. Now, when these two brothers hang out, there are two mini-Kristians hanging all over them. Neither Kristian or A.J. would have it any other way. A.J. can’t wait to have all of them there on his special day.

Kole Fehling

Co-Best Man

Kole is A.J’s older brother by two years. Although he stands almost a foot shorter than A.J., he makes up for it in his big personality! A.J. and Kole grew up playing video games and terrorizing their little sisters. They once created a homemade haunted house and had Rachel and Kenzie, who were around ages 7 and 4 at the time, go through it and scare the daylights out of them! When Kole graduated from high school, he attended the Ohio State University where he studied to be a meteorologist. While there, he also joined the Air Force Guard. Upon graduation from college, his job and the military have taken him all over the country, A.J. doesn't get to see Kole as much as he wants but enjoys every chance he gets to spend time with his brother.

Dylan Rose

Groomsman

Dylan is one of A.J.’s best friends from high school; the two ended up living together at the University of Cincinnati. Between being euchre partners, lifting buddies, and food fanatics, they always make time to double date with their women. This fearsome foursome, A.J., Kasey, Dylan, and Rachel, have taken many road trips including: Destin, Asheville, Red River Gorge, and Mammoth Cave. No matter where the road has led them, Dylan and Rachel are the perfect vacation couple to travel with. There's always fun to be had when they all get together. While A.J. stood next to Dylan during his wedding, he couldn’t see it being any other way other than with Dylan standing there on his big day. He is truly lucky to have such a great friend.

Kyle Aubry

Groomsman

A.J. and Kyle have been best friends since high school when they were both lineman on their State Championship football team. Since Kyle had his driver’s license before A.J., he would pick him up and they would drive around everywhere together. Their nights consisted of epic Madden duals. One of his fondest memories of Kyle would be inviting him on his spring break trip to Charleston. It was the first time Kyle had every been to the beach, let alone leave Ohio. The joy on his face when he saw the beach for the first time was pretty priceless. While they are still with their high school sweethearts, not much has changed as far as their friendship. A.J. was lucky enough to stand by Kyle during his wedding, now he can return the favor. We cannot wait to celebrate with Kyle!

Tyler Uetrecht

Groomsman

You know how the oldest brother is supposed to be protective over little sister? While this is sort of the case, actually AJ started off protecting Tyler!! During high school, Tyler was the starting quarterback for their state championship football team and A.J. was one of his linemen. During the football season, Jodi would make team meals weekly for the lineman and A.J. (before he had his license) would have to hitch a ride with Tyler to his house. Little did he know he was riding shotgun with his future brother-in-law. AJ and Tyler clicked from the start, and Tyler immediately gave him the blessing to date his little sister. A.J. has gained another brother and he can’t wait to celebrate this big day with Tyler by his side.

Trey Uetrecht

Groomsman

A.J and Trey connected while Trey was in middle school and A.J. was working the youth football camp at Massie. Because of this, Trey claims to have known A.J. longer than Kasey has. While they share a passion of football and agree about almost everything, they would definitely be buddies even if Kasey and A.J. were never a couple. A.J. is feeling especially grateful for the fact that Trey will get to be standing next to him to while he marries Kasey. Trey was in a serious car accident two years ago that had him in the ICU for 15 days. And although he is continuing to work on getting his arm working again, everyone, including A.J., is amazed on how far he has come. We are blessed that he is alive and ready to stand by A.J. on the best day ever.

Ryan Weiss

Groomsman

As the new brother-in-law of the family, Ryan could not fit in better with the Avery family. He is married to sister, Rachel. There must be something in the water at the Avery household because Ryan and Rachel started dating almost a month after Kasey and A.J. started dating; look at them both now! While A.J. takes full credit for getting Rachel and Ryan together, he could not be happier to have Ryan in the family and standing next to him on his big day!
