Aaron and Christina met at Shane and Geena Chodakowsky’s wedding on November 7, 2020 in North Fort Myers! Aaron was a groomsman to his friend Shane and Christina was bartending for weddings on her weekends off from the police academy. Christina had a night out with her academy buddies the night prior and was not supposed to work on November 7. She was practically begged to work the Chodakowsky’s wedding because it was a “cop wedding” and she was a well trusted employee. Christina arrived bright and early to start setting up for the wedding event in her leggings and Ariat baseball cap. Several things had gone awry from the catering side, and the day started off rainy and very windy. The catering area shared a portion of the venue which was also a large home full of family and friends. Christina was carrying a heavy tray and attempting to fit it into the fridge like a puzzle piece. She noticed someone standing in the kitchen that was looking at her. Balancing several items, she looked up with a wild look in her eye. She thought “ugh is this guy really not going to offer to help me.” Instead, he muttered, “I like your hat.” And shuffled out of the room. “What a weirdo..” Christina thought. Aaron thought that she must be family of the bride and he hoped to see her later. 8-9 hours later, the event was almost over. Aaron walked up to the bar for the first time all night and said “Hey, where did your hat go!” Amongst the hustle of the day, Christina totally forgot she was even wearing a hat. “What are you talking about? I wasn’t wearing a hat?” Aaron awkwardly began to walk away when she shouted “Oh my gosh! I was earlier, I’m so sorry!” The two exchanged a smile but that was about it. Minutes later, Aaron inquired about the “red head bartender” to the wedding coordinator who exchanged numbers for him! The two went on their first date on November 13. They went on their first vacation to the snowy mountains December 26 so Aaron could show Christina snow for her first time. The two quickly became inseparable and enjoy the outdoors together every chance they get!
