It was 2003, Harry Potter and the order of phoenix just came out, tank tops worn with juicy couture pants was the bench mark for fashion and really popularity. While on the other side of campus, lacrosse sticks hung along the bedside of a typical long island jewish boys who sang Chili Peppers. Except there's nothing typical about Brett and AJ, despite AJ's 17 juicy pants and Brett love of sports. They spent the summer of 2003 talking about god knows what on warm nights at the canteen, sitting together on long bus rides and enjoying each others company. AJ loved Brett's outlook on life. And Brett, was taken by AJ's city charm. After a 14 year hiatus they were reunited at the wedding of Michael and Katherine Weiss. A reunion that might not have happened if it wasn't for Marilyn, Brett's mom, sending in the RSVP in for Brett and Sheryl, AJ's mom, dressing AJ. With Brett in his 3-piece suit and AJ in a Sheryl outfit, sparks flew. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Soon followed train rides, bus trips, long weekends, and family gatherings. A year later, AJ picked up her things and moved from the Big Apple to the Capitol. In the Capitol, the happy couple merged their lives together and created their home. It's been a magical ride and we cannot wait to start this next chapter together with all of you. Love, Brett and AJ
