Ajae and Malik met in 2019 at “Something in the Water” in Virginia Beach. Some flirtatious words were exchanged then eventually numbers. Over the next year and a half, they hung out many times as friends while sharing their mutual interest in movies and TV shows like Martin, Power, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Stand up comedy and more. Even though they were miles away, that didn’t stop Malik from driving an hour just to see Ajae. July 19, 2020 is when friends turn into lovers. After just eight months of being an official couple, Malik popped the question on Ajae’s birthday of March 2021 and the rest was history. For the past two years they’ve been enjoying their engagement by spending quality time with family and friends as well as traveling to different cities like Miami, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. This October will be an exciting beginning to a new chapter in their lives.
