He was a boy, she was a girl... oops, this isn't an Avril Lavigne song! The story of us began on the first day of freshman orientation at Whitworth University (S'Go Bucs!). At our first all-freshman meeting, Jack and his roommate sat one row ahead of Aja and her roommates. As fate had it, we introduced ourselves in this meeting, as it came time to find discussion partners. As the days progressed, Jack and Aja came to find out they were initially pursuing the same major and were living in the same dorm. They even ended up in the same Biology lab class. On the first day of lab, nervous Aja gravitated towards Jack and they became lab partners for the semester. Many nights Jack and Aja could be found doing homework together--you could probably say our first dates took place at the Whitworth Library. Aja, thinking Jack was quite helpful with homework, quickly noticed he wasn't interested in helping/studying with any others. After a few months, a couple of attempts, and some encouraging friends, Aja finally agreed to a formal first date with Jack. From there, the rest was history and we became inseparable! Through our relationship, we have navigated four years of college, a few special trips here and there, a pandemic, and now, a year of post-grad adult life. Jack and Aja are ready to be united in marriage and hope you will join them in celebrating. Thank you to each and every one of you that has supported us through the years!
