Is the Reception Dinner the same thing as a reception?

Answer

Not quite. In lieu of a traditional reception with speeches, dancing, etc., we have opted to have a nice dinner and really be able to talk to you, our closest family and friends.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, it is noted as "semi-formal," and we would prefer for everyone to dress nicely. To us, this means a nice dress for women. Or wear what you never have the occasion for but still keep in your closet! For men, please wear a jacket and tie.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The ceremony locale is in a neighborhood and should have ample free street parking. Can Can Brasserie is located in Carytown and while there are free lots and street parking, it can be crowded on a Saturday evening. We recommend leaving your car at your lodging and taking a ride share, such as Uber or Lyft.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We do not have a hotel block. We recommend people stay close to the dinner venue in Carytown. There are lots of reasonably priced rentals through Airbnb or VRBO. Cheaper than the hotels and closer!

Can I bring a date?

This is a small and intimate gathering. If allowed a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation.

Is there a bar?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour following the ceremony with all kinds of drinks. For dinner, we have opted for a wine and beer menu. We have arranged a certain amount of drinks, and if surpassed, it will turn into a cash bar.

We would prefer to not have young children, but please reach out to us if needed.
