Nick and Lexie's love story is truly a testament to God's perfect timing. They met when they were 14 years old and just two days into their freshman year of high school. Their friendship was instant; however, they went their separate ways for the remainder of their time at Lourdes and Columbus. After not speaking for years, they both coincidentally ended up attending the University of Central Florida. There, their friendship rekindled quickly. After being sent home during the pandemic, their romantic relationship began to blossom. While the world was in a state of chaos, their world was just falling into place. Nick asked Lexie on their first date—a day at Miami Beach. The day started with Sports Grill for lunch (duh) and a beautiful June summer day. A few days later, Nick took Lexie to Hillstone in the Gables. Who would've thought their wedding reception would be a couple blocks away just 6 years later! The rest was history. They went back to school and during their first week back Nick was ready to ask Lexie to be his girlfriend. After realizing the way to win her over was taking her to Hillstone, he made a reservation at the Winter Park location in Orlando on August 27, 2020. They sat around a bonfire before dinner where Nick asked Lexie to be his girlfriend! The rest of college consisted of growing in love, living with our best friends, and finishing our degrees. After college, God implemented His perfect plan yet again as Nick and Lexie were both accepted into the University of Miami School of Law. While their first year of law school was undoubtedly tough, a constant in the stress and anxiety was each other's presence and love. During the summer of 2025, Lexie and Nick had made plans to spend a weekend together at Little Palm Island to celebrate their 5 year anniversary. Nick, however, had other special plans. They spent the day exploring and enjoying the beautiful island. Nick had told Lexie they had dinner reservations at 7:30, but instead of heading to the restaurant, Nick brought her over to the beach where a photographer was hiding ready to capture the most perfect evening. He popped the question and she said yes! As we prepare for a beautiful life together, we want to thank our family and friends for their unwavering love and support through every stage of our lives.
