We met on an online dating site called Bumble, on which the girl has to send the first message. Aislinn's opening line was "Are you lighting your paper on fire?" in response to his picture taken after turning in his senior thesis. It turned out he was actually holding a tootsie roll, which is a campus tradition at The College of Wooster. Our first date was a picnic that Brad made at Little Turtle Pond in Firestone Metropark.

Aislinn tagged along for the ride to one of Brad’s work events in Youngstown, Ohio on a rainy day and on the way home they decided to stop at Millcreek Park, a place known to have lots of beautiful flowers and greenery. However they accidentally ended up at the Millcreek Wetlands instead, but ended up making an amazing memory when Brad chose the moment that the skies cleared up to get down on one knee and propose.
