Where should we stay?

Answer

For guests who would like to stay in the area for multiple nights, we recommend staying in the town of Carrick-on-Shannon, which is 15 minutes from our venue. Our church ceremony and day 2 get together will both be in this town. There are plenty of restaurants / pubs and things to do in Carrick-on-Shannon.

What is the best airport?

Answer

Dublin Airport is the closest international airport. (~1 hour 45 minutes). Shannon airport (~2 hours 15 minutes) is also an option.

Getting to the wedding from the airport

Answer

If you plan on travelling to other areas of Ireland during your stay, we recommend renting a car at the airport. Train & bus options from Dublin are also available! Train: From Dublin airport, you can take a taxi or airport bus to Dublin Connolly Station. The Dublin-Sligo line train departs from Connolly Station and stops in Carrick-On-Shannon (~2 hours). Schedules and tickets can be found at irishrail.ie Bus: The Route 23 Dublin to Sligo bus departs from Dublin airport and stops in Carrick on Shannon across from the Landmark Hotel. Wedding Day Transportation

There will be a bus to take guests from the church to our reception at Lough Rynn Castle after the ceremony, with return trips to Carrick-On-Shannon towards the end of the night. Please note that Ubers/Lyfts are not available in the area. Info for local taxis are below, if needed we recommend calling in advance to schedule! We invite guests to wear formal attire. For ladies, midi or full length formal dresses, or dressy cocktail attire are all welcome. For men, a suit and tie is encouraged. Tuxes are welcome but not required.
