I said yes!

Shawn sent me a private message on an online dating site. I browsed through his profile but I was mainly there for his pictures. It was the picture of him with Jimmy Johnson (Retired Nascar Driver) that sold me on responding back to him! We hit it off pretty quickly, eventually leading to lots of long talks on the phone. We talked back and forth for about a month before we had our first date. It was February 25th 2014 on a Monday evening. It was love at first sight in the parking lot of a gas station in Fair Haven, VT. We went for drinks at Tomasi's Tavern where we shared our first kiss. We started dating that following day! Shawn and I shared our very first trip away together in March 2014. We planned the entire trip together via phone calls and texts. We would spend a weekend in Boston together. Fast forward to June 2021 and we were ready for another trip together as a couple. We decided we would spend another weekend in Boston as sort of an anniversaries trip to celebrate 7 years of being together. June, 26th 2021 we spent the day out on the ocean with friends on their boat. We had dinner reservations that evening at Victory Point, Marina Bay. We walked along the pier after dinner. Shawn got(nervously) down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I said YES!
