Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be standing beside us on our wedding day!

Emma

Maid of Honor

Emma is Lauren's sister and very best friend. They frequently bond over coffee dates, cats, and singing way too loudly in the car. Emma has and always will be Lauren's right-hand-woman and partner in crime. Lauren feels so honored to have watched Emma grow up into the young woman she is today and to have her as her biggest cheerleader and sidekick. From spontaneously adopting kittens to texting each other the "tea" throughout their days, these two girls always have been and always will be inseparable (except when Emma's social battery is depleted, which in that case they just resort to communicating by sending each other TikToks). Catch her getting the dance floor started and staying until they shut it down on the big day!

Eshaan

Best Man

Jake and Eshaan met as roommates during freshman year at Butler. Jake thought that Eshaan was an Indian prince until they met in person because his Instagram from the prior summer was filled with pictures in India. They quickly bonded over sad music, Madden, and making fun of Nate. Because Eshaan knew every girl at Butler, Jake assumed Lauren was interested in Eshaan before him. Luckily, he was wrong. Their bromance has lasted through plastic TV cover incidents, angry outbursts, and way too many song mashups. Eshaan has accepted the Best Man role under one condition: Jake stops "accidently" kissing him instead of Lauren.

Marin

Junior Bridesmaid

Lauren met Marin when she began nannying her the summer of 2020. Marin is a spritely young soul who loves dancing, gymnastics, and crafting the day away. One might say she is Lauren's mini-me! You will probably find her doing cartwheels all around the reception hall and dancing the night away until she drops. Lauren can't wait to have her standing by her side on the big day!

Callen

Right-Hand-Man

Lauren met Callen when she began nannying him the summer of 2020. She has had the privilege of seeing him grow up from a tiny tot to a handsome young man. Jake is so excited to have Callen standing beside him on the big day! Callen is a lively and enthusiastic young man who loves sports, competition, and board games. He's ready to bring his rockin' dance moves to the wedding!

Braela

Flower Girl

Lauren met Braela when she began nannying her the summer of 2020. Braela is a sassy and spunky girl who loves everything princesses, glitter, and sparkles (especially Lauren's ring!). She loves showing off her killer dance moves and twirling around in pretty dresses - she was made to be a flower girl!

Jaelen

Ring Bearer

Lauren met Jaelen when he was just two weeks old and has gotten to grow with him so much over the first year of his life. Jaelen became Lauren's snuggle buddy, cleaning helper, and Baby Einstein's watch partner when she nannied the kiddos in her off semester last year. He always has a huge smile on his face and is ready to teach you a dance move or two (he's quite the awesome dance partner!).

Gillian

Bridesmaid

Gillian is one of Lauren's cousins, and the two have always had such a close bond. Gillian feels more like a little sister to Lauren than anything, and they have both been through a lot together. Many deep talks, laughs, and tears have been shared between the two, and Lauren is so thankful for each year bringing them even closer together than the last. Seeing Gillian grow into the beautiful, strong young woman she is today has been one of the greatest blessings Lauren has ever received. The heartfelt moments they share together override the fact that Gillian always beats Lauren in mini golf. Lauren can't wait to have Gillian stand next to her on her big day and is so thankful to have her for a "little sis!"

Nate

Groomsman

Jake and Nate met at Butler during their Freshman Orientation. Nate resorted to interacting with the "douchey baseball kid" because he and Jake were two of three guys in a group with 10 political science girls. Even after Jake repeatedly tortured Nate and chased him around in cow boxers, the two lived together sophomore year. Though Nate no longer let Jake tickle him, they still managed to maintain a close friendship. Nate was the first to predict Jake and Lauren's relationship because he had a "vibe" that Jake would meet someone soon. We really hope there isn't a Butler basketball game on the 19th, or else this spot will need to be replaced.

Sara

Bridesmaid

Sara has been Lauren's roommate since their freshman year at Butler. They met after Sara posted an embarassing bio on a roommate forum, and Lauren was immediately hooked. Sara met Jake their sophomore year at Butler and carefully assessed him before he and Lauren began dating. Jake passed the test, but not without the “dad talk” from Sara, which featured a baseball bat (no one was hurt). Sara and Lauren remained roommates through all four years at Butler and somehow still liked each other enough to live together yet again while they are attending Marian University. Sara is only a little upset that Lauren will be moving out to live with a boy.

Ryan

Groomsman

Ryan has known Jake since freshman year of college when he used to try to take naps in his single dorm room and Jake would always come by after class and bang on the door to wake him up. This continued long after it stopped being funny. Little did either one of them know that they would live together for the next three years. In that time, Ryan has seen Jake go from a guy who played Fortnite all night while drinking a half gallon of chocolate milk to a guy who plays Fortnite all night whole drinking a Moscow Mule. He wishes Jake and Lauren a very long and happy marriage filled with thousands of baseball cards on every surface imaginable.

Michaela

Bridesmaid

Michaela and Lauren met during one of their first tours of Butler's campus... and then again during their information session about the Health Sciences program... and then again on their first day of campus orientation. Even though Michaela couldn't stop talking about "the cool blonde girl from Florida," she kept forgetting who she was and would give her dirty looks whenever Lauren sat down next to her to talk. Despite those mishaps, Michaela and Lauren lived together from sophomore to senior year and would go on to share many breakdowns over microbiology, organic chemistry, and all of life's stressors. She'll get the party going with her one-of-a-kind dance moves, so be sure to join in!

Owen

Groomsman

Owen and Jake grew up playing baseball together but were never quite on the same level given Owen's "natural supplements" that were totally not performance-enhancing in any way. Once at separate colleges, though, they spent thousands or hours together playing Fortnite and Call of Duty. Despite Owen's ability to again carry Harmon through every video game they played (do steroids make you better at video games too?), Owen kept him around due to Jake's ability to make him look better. Whether it was staying up til 2am to catch dubs during finals week or eating a 5 lb bag of Cap'n Crunch Berries while the IU frat lords went out, the two have managed to stick together through their total lack of social lives.

Katie Anne

Bridesmaid

Lauren and Katie Anne met during their junior year at Butler University, which was all thanks to Jake for getting Lauren out of her shell and swooping her into his friend group. They frequently bond over TikToks of babies, coffee dates and wine nights, and reminiscing (... and crying) over their memories of Butler. Katie Anne's ability to love others so well and shine her light and wisdom on any situation is incredible, and those are gifts anyone would be grateful to experience. If you ever lose her throughout the night, just listen for her laugh, or mention the Bengals and she'll be by your side in a jiffy. Much love for you KA!

Jon

Groomsman

Like Owen, Jake grew up playing baseball with Jon. They usually ended up on the same Little League teams because their dads bonded over their love of Lite beers. With Jon also being a freshman in college with no desire to go out on the weekends, the two spent most nights on Xbox with Owen, working to be the best worst Fortnite trio of all-time. Jon and Jake were able to get along over their mutual hatred for Owen's Easter Island-sized ego. They were able to spend nights chilling while playing games where they weren't being yelled at 24/7. Jon will spend most of the evening with his girlfriend Ashley asking when their wedding is happening.

Alynne

Bridesmaid

Lauren met Alynne when Alynne was born a short 6 months after she was. Their relationship has always been a little... complicated. You see, Alynne is really Lauren's aunt, but given their closeness in age, you can imagine it was difficult to explain to people as they were growing up. So, during an art camp one summer, they made the decision to call each other cousins instead, which was much more fitting for their relationship. Alynne has always felt like a sister to Lauren, and the two always reconnect like old friends whenever they're together (yes, even through Alynne's phase of wearing flowers in her hair all the time). See you out on the dance floor "cousin!"

Nick

Groomsman

Nick and Jake met nine months earlier than their parents planned, but that was okay because being closer in age worked out pretty well for them. Even though Jake probably owes Nick 1,000 shots on goal as compensation for Nick putting up with playing catch, he never plans to pay that debt since Jake doesn't believe in sports that allow France to compete. Despite Jake having a record number of groundings because a fist was the only way to stop Nick's mouth, that probably won't stop Nick from tormenting Jake for years to come. Thankfully for their parents and Aunt Cathy, Jake and Nick get along much better now that they have their own spaces and much better retorts than "you're stupid."
