We were introduced to eachother through a mutual friend; his coworker and her gym buddy. It had been some time since Sam had been in a relationship and it had been a REALLY long time since Steven had been in a relationship. To say we were a little rusty is an understatement. Sam was nervous to meet Steven in person alone so she convinced their mutual friend to host. We all decided to go to a festival together. Steven and Sam barely said two words to eachother. Luckily, a couple weeks later, Sam and Steven were graced with a chance to redeem themselves. Once again, Steven and Sam barely said to words to eachother. (We would later find out that both Steven and Sam shared their doubts about eachother with their moms.) Steven and Sam continued to text each other everyday without much spark. Steven asked Sam for a one-on-one date countless times to which Sam declined over and over. Then, out if the blue, Sam sprung out of bed to text Steven to ask if the offer to go on a date still stood, hoping it wasn’t too late. And the rest is history.
