Not every day you walk into a car dealership thinking you’re going to meet your forever. In fact, I wanted nothing to do with dating or falling in love at that time. Moose just so happened to sweep me off my feet. I messaged one of my friends who had a Snapchat story saying, "anyone looking to buy a car go see Moose.” So, I responded with “me!” Eventually I reached out to this dude named “Moose,” and shortly after, I learned it was Justin Akers. For those of you that don’t know, my dad's best friend and my second dad growing up was Jerry Akers (Justins uncle), who till this day holds a very special place in my heart. I truly think he knew I needed Justin in my life. He was the first one to teach me how to fish, he always kept my family calm in any given situation, and always had my dad's back. Anyways, the day after Moose and I were texting about cars I went into Toyota truly not thinking I would walk out with not only a car, but a boyfriend too! For how shy Justin was at the time, he was pretty quick and slick to ask me on a date. We spent our first date at La Caretta. After La Caretta, we went to his cousin Jakes & on the way, we jammed to John Mayer, “Your Body is a Wonderland." That right there is how I knew he was the one. Never would I ever be singing at the top of my lungs with someone I just met, but it felt like I've known him forever. Now 5 1/2 years later, I'm finally marrying that “Moose” dude from Team Toyota! The only way to describe it is a dream come true! The best part about this story is while sitting at Team Toyota waiting to sign papers, I kept telling my dad how I thought Moose was so cute. It was like a love at first sight moment-no joke. Never in a million years would I tell my dad my thoughts on a man, but I remember him telling me, he would be a happy father if I became an Akers one day.
