In a sea of boring conversations and pen pal dating, Aishah and Terrence connected over their love of 90’s R&B, attending concerts, and this beautiful state we call Jersey. The two planned their first date, ironically, on April Fool’s Day. As the two prepared for their date, a hail storm began. Aishah tried to cancel the date numerous times (she even sent a screenshot of the severe storm warning), but Terrence was undeterred. The two bonded over beer, wings and Casamigos shots. Terrence walked Aishah to her car (which surprised her ya’ll lol) and a second date was planned. That date began this love story that led to the Roots Picnic, Essence Fest, College Sendoffs, Friendsgiving, positive pregnancy test, Christmas Parties, Jamaica vacations, and a miracle baby “bridging” and blending our family. On the anniversary of the day they matched, Terrence asked Aishah to spend forever with him…and she said yes!
