Every love story has a beginning, and ours started in the most unexpected way, with sneakers. What began as her being my shoe connect for me and my kids slowly turned into something much deeper. I would see her often, but at first our conversations stayed pretty minimal. Nothing too serious… just simple interactions here and there. But somehow, those little moments started becoming something we both looked forward to. Then came the Snapchat check-ins. Whether it was sending motivation for my businesses, checking to see how I was doing, or just reaching out randomly, she slowly became someone I could count on. Over time, she became more than just somebody I talked to, she became my peace. A listening ear. Someone who truly understood me without judging me. In the beginning, things were a little questionable. We both had to figure things out, and neither of us knew exactly where it would lead. But one thing she never did was give up on us. She made it clear that I was who she wanted, and she was willing to do whatever it took to make sure this became forever. What we built wasn’t rushed, it grew through trust, consistency, friendship, and genuine love. Somewhere between the conversations, the support, the laughter, and the hard moments, we found home in each other.
