How We Met

LONG DISTANCE ONLY MAKES YOU STRONGER

We first met at Lyndsey’s brother, Paul’s 30th birthday party in San Diego, Ca where A’isha was living at the time. A’isha remembers seeing Lyndsey walk through the door and just thinking “ WOW, who is that?” A’isha was under the impression that Lyndsey wasn’t going to be at the birthday party. We were introduced and then we went on with our nights. A couple months later A’isha texted Lyndsey and from that point they texted and talked every single day up until A’isha met up with Lyndsey at Coachella and from that moment we were connected. The world stopped, the hours of each day seemed like minutes and the days seemed like hours. We both had long conversations about life and experiences. We truly learned so much about one another and from that moment forward we knew we had to be together. We had a pull to be with one another and a crazy energy that made us feel like we were put on this earth for each other. A little shortly after we started dating and have been together since. We did long distance from Washington to San Diego for a year and then A’isha decided she couldn’t handle it anymore. She decided to say goodbye to good ol’ California, packed up everything of hers, grabbed Lolli and packed a trailer to the brim and off she went with Lyndsey, Lyndsey's father, Wayne and her mother. Once A’isha moved to Washington state everything else fell right into place as it should have and we have only gotten stronger by the day as a couple.

The BIG Question!

10.18.19

A’isha has always had a special place in her heart for hot air balloons so when she found out that there was a hot air balloon festival in Walla Walla, Washington she got so excited! That was the moment that Lyndsey decided on her plan. For months Lyndsey planned the whole day out for the proposal. The original plan was that we would go to the hot air balloon festival and on the second launch of the day Lyndsey’s mom, Merri would show up with our dog Lolli and Lolli would have the ring on her collar so once she showed up to surprise A’isha while the balloons were launching Lyndsey would get on one knee… well, that’s not what happened. The day of, when we got to the balloon festival at 6 am to see the first launch they told us that they were canceling the launches for the day, little did A’isha know, Lyndsey’s heart dropped and she was secretly stressing out. When we left the launch site A’isha asked if there would be any launch at all and they said there might be a “ candle light” in the evening so to make sure we came back for that. At that very moment Lyndsey changed her whole plan. Luckily A’isha’s best friends were in town to distract her while Lyndsey scrambled to make her plan B. A’isha had no idea what was coming. They got back for the candle light and everything was perfect. A’isha and Lyndsey happened to find a rainbow balloon and stood in front of it. A’isha was in awe with the size of the balloons and the beauty they held. While A’isha was distracted by looking up at the balloons lyndsey got on one knee and when she turned around she knew immediately what was happening. Lyndsey gave the most beautiful speech and ended it asking her “ will you marry me?!” A’isha lost it, she broke out in tears and full on UGLY cry and kept saying “yes,YES,YES”. And here we are today!
