Airielle and Mychal met in middle school at Warner, in Farmington, MI. At the time, they both had the same last name, "Taylor." They found themselves sitting next to each other during class pictures, assemblies and graduation. We'd love to say that's where the sparks started to fly; however, it was quite the contrary. They were polite with a hi and bye in the hallway, but that's where it ended. Airielle and Mychal were separated in high school as Airielle attended Farmington and Mychal attended Southfield Christian. They ended up connecting and staying in touch via Facebook. Mychal attended one of Airielle's musicals in high school, he even changed their relationship status to "married" for a short stint (I guess he saw foresaw the future). And that's where the long game began. Mychal attended Kettering and Airielle attended the University of Michigan for college. They both went there separate ways in life, but Facebook brought them back together again. In 2019, a mutual friend posted something on Facebook that attracted both Airielle and Mychal's attention. They both commented on the post then Airielle decided to slide in Mychal's DM's (direct messages, for those who don't know). A quick conversation turned into hours of text conversations which turned into hours of Google Duo dates. Living in two different states Airielle and Mychal kept mentioning that this would be difficult. But if you know them, you know they both love to tackle the impossible. On September 6th, 2020 Mychal got down on one knee and proposed at the Pictured Rocks in Traverse City. Airielle was shocked, excited and speechless before belting out "yes."
