We can't wait to celebrate with everyone

Caitlyn and Chris met over four years ago the way many of the Millennial generation does: on a dating app. Through the magic of Hinge, they met up at an Arlington, VA staple - Whitlow's on Wilson - on a quiet Wednesday night that lasted well longer than either could have expected. They bonded over drinks, travel destinations, Entourage, families rooted in New York, and so much more. It went so well, in fact, that Caitlyn proclaimed it as the "best first date ever!" to a group of friends. Their second date would follow a few days later, a trip to the movies to see Toy Story 4. Over the next few months, Chris and Caitlyn became closer and closer, getting to know each other and learning all of the things they have in common, as well as what they could share to the other as new. Come October, after several dinner dates, Nationals games, a lovely evening at DC gem Filomena, a weekend trip with friends to Charlottesville, and a number of backyard parties, the couple became official. In the years since, they've stayed together through multiple housing moves, job changes, and a global pandemic. Their relationship has grown stronger, as they live and learn together everyday. Chris has shared his love of sports (especially hockey and tennis), affinity for puzzles, and craving for pizza and bagels, while Caitlyn has rubbed off with her golf game, fashion choices, music, and being the friendliest, most outgoing person imaginable. They've expanded their pallets and skills in the kitchen and traveled as often as their PTO and savings would allow, and they cannot wait to see where the rest of their lives will take them. We are so excited to welcome everyone to our wedding and cannot wait to have family and friends together for our special day.

After months of planning our Pacific Northwest Trip, it was finally time to make the trek to Canada. We have been dreaming of going to Banff and Chris was looking forward to seeing 4 hockey games. With the anticipation of the icy blue waters at Lake Louise, we planned a sunrise hike but were met with the first snow of the season! To Caitlyn's surprise, Chris somehow managed to make this the best day of their lives. Astonished by the beautiful lake and the fact that it was 15 degrees at 8 am, the thought of an engagement was nowhere near Caitlyn's mind. Chris surprised her in the best way and dropped to his knee and asked Caitlyn to be his wife. The easiest decision she ever made!
