When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 15, 2024. If we have not received your RSVP by October 15th, we will reach out one time. If we don’t receive your RSVP when we reach out, we will be marking you as a no. You can RSVP through the QR code on the invitation, RSVP directly on our website, or fill out the RSVP card that was included in your invitation and mail it back to us.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We are registered on Amazon, Target, and on Zola. Please check the Registry page on our wedding website main menu.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal attire. For women semi-formal attire includes knee-length and tea-length dresses. For men semi-formal attire includes suits, blazers, sports coats, button down shirts, slacks. Please no jeans or khakis.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes at The Pattison House there is a large parking area within a brief walking distance to both the ceremony and reception areas. The parking lot is not paved so please watch your step from your car to the walkway, or please drop off anyone who is unable to walk a short distance on potentially uneven ground.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a hotel room block at the Homewood Suites by Hilton at Katy Mills. There are a limited number of reserved rooms, and all hotel reservations in the block have to be made by November 15, 2024. You can use any of the following ways to book a room through our hotel block: 1. Call the hotel directly at – 281-391-5500; ask for reservations ; provide the agent your desired arrival/departure dates ( November 29th-December 1st) ; ask for the Dawson Wedding Group 2. Are my children allowed?

Answer

As much as we would love to have everyone be able to bring their littles with them, our venue has provided us with a hard limit of guests that can come. So please check our RSVP page on the main menu and add your child(ren)’s name to see if they have been invited.

Can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

Our venue provided us a hard limit that we have to adhere to so please use the RSVP page on the main menu to search your name or your guest’s name to see if they have been invited.

When should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that guests arrive between 3:30-3:45 (15 - 30 minutes before the official start of the ceremony), so that you have time to get settled in before the proceedings at 4pm.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.

What do I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let Ainslie or Cameron know about your dietary restrictions ASAP so accommodations can be made with the catering company! We must let the catering company know by November 15th of our final numbers including restrictions. After November 15th we will not be able to accommodate.

How long is the event?

Our wedding start time is at 4pm. We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes before start time to find parking and seating. We have the venue until 10pm. So reception will end just before 10pm to send Cameron and I off with a grand bubble exit.

Is there transportation from the hotel to the venue?

Unfortunately there is not transportation to the venue. There is ample parking at the venue though!

What is the best route from the Hotel to the Venue?

We suggest you look 2:30/3pm to see how long your commute will be to the Pattison House on Saturday. It gets very busy near Katy Mills Mall around the holidays and we suggest for our guests to drive towards the mall and get onto the frontage heading east before making a U-turn at Katy Mills Blvd to head west towards Pattison. TRY TO AVOID KINGSLAND BLVD! IT IS ALWAYS SLOW AND CONGESTED.
