Our story!

Connor and Ainsley's journey began in 2021 when they were placed into the same flight at Field Training. There, at Camp Shelby, MS, the two of them began a beautiful friendship rooted in mutual respect and admiration for each others performance during the various evaluations they faced. Amidst the long, hot days marching around or navigating different obstacle courses, they would joke, share stories, and find ways to enjoy their time (even when it wasn't so fun). Two years later, after both Commissioning into the Air Force as Combat Systems Officer selects, Connor and Ainsley found themselves together again in Pensacola, FL. Their friendship rekindled and they found themselves enjoying similar hobbies and looking to enjoy their time at CSO training (even when it wasn't so fun). Ainsley recruited Connor to share his tips and tricks throughout the program and they both spent copious amounts of time in the CRAFT gym, lifting weights, avoiding studying, and sharing laughs with the trainers. Towards the end of Connor's time in Pensacola, the two of them had decided to take a trip up to Six Flags Atlanta. Prior to the trip, while preparing a grilled cheese sandwich, Connor turned around to look at Ainsley and share his feelings for her. Ainsley reciprocated those feelings and the two embarked on the rollercoaster of shifting their friendship towards a relationship. Connor's older brother Jacob and his wife Ashton graciously hosted Connor and Ainsley on their trip up to Six Flags which allowed them to start stepping into each other's lives and begin learning all the fun things about one another. Following their trip, Connor asked Ainsley out on a date and she kicked his butt in mini golf at Pensacola beach! They made it official a few weeks later and began a beautiful relationship. The two of them took advantage of living in Albuquerque, NM and spent time hiking in the Sandia mountains, visiting White Sands National Park, and heading out to the Grand Canyon! After taking in the world famous Balloon Fiesta with their families, Connor popped the question on top of Sandia peak at one of their favorite vistas! It was a very easy decision for Ainsley! On November 10, 2026, Connor and Ainsley were officially wed in Pennsylvania. They chose to hold a very small ceremony in the Skilled Nursing section of a Towanda hospital to share the special moment with Ainsley's grandfather who is unable to travel. The ceremony was officiated by Connor's uncle which cemented the importance of family to the bride and groom. They celebrated a brand new marriage with fresh pies and photos in the snow! Connor and Ainsley are soon to be together again in Florida, living and working together. They are sure to have many fun beach days, long flying nights, and countless memories sharing their life as spouses and best friends. While the Air Force may provide some headaches, let downs, confusing circumstances, and time apart, it also gave the two of them each other. The work done in their lives to bring Connor and Ainsley together, both at Field Training and again in Pensacola, has provided an incredible blessing and led them to embark on a hectic and rewarding married life. The gift of this marriage is one that extends far beyond any of the frustrations and will forever be celebrated by the new Harris family.
