We're Getting hitched!

Ben and Ainsley met in early 2023 halfway through their freshman year. One of their earliest memories together was bonding over a shared allergy to peanuts (which Ben has since outgrown). From then on, they both immediately hit it off, hanging out nearly everyday at school, texting late into the night, and doing homework together. Even during the summer before their sophomore year, when Ben was back in Houston and Ainsley was in Dallas, they would face time and stay in contact with each other consistently. Once the next semester started, Ben and Ainsley became inseparable again. They both loved spending time with each other even just as friends to the point where their friend group thought they had already started dating! However, it was not until October 12th, 2023, when they had finally discussed their feelings for each other as well as some possible concerns about jumping headfirst into a relationship. As 19-year-olds do, they both tried to be mature about committing to a relationship and held off to see if this is something that they both want to commit to. They started officially dating on October 14th , two days later. This was Ben’s first relationship ever! He did not know what to do and had a mixing bag of emotion which included being excited and scared. Even through all these emotions, Ben knew, from that day, October 14th, he was going to marry Ainsley. Throughout their dating relationship, they grew closer to each other, went to their respective fraternity and sorority formals together, and participated in many college events together. They even ran for Sophomore Duke and Duchess together during DBU’s homecoming week! Even though Ainsley made it through each round while Ben couldn’t get past round 1. He will never live that down. As the end of their college careers approached, Ben knew he had to start planning an engagement. Ainsley had mentioned to him in passing that she’s hard to surprise and that I’m going to have to put work in to properly surprise her and make the day special, and Ben took that as a challenge. He started planning in February of 2025 with the plan to propose in April. He made sure that there was no way that she could find out and it worked! Ben successfully surprised her with a ring and a question at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum on April 27th 2025. Since then, they have been very excited to get married and start their lives together! They both have jobs lined up in Tyler, Texas as well as an apartment to move into after December 20th. They both can’t wait to start this new adventure of life together! If you are reading this, then it means that you have been a part of Ben’s life, Ainsley’s life, or have been present during their time in a relationship. We both want you all to know that we love each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts. We would not be the man and woman we are today without the people who shaped us before. While our wedding is only reserved for our immediate family and friends, we ask that, if you feel inclined, you can still show us support through giving on our registry. The Lord has been so faithful in both of our lives and, while we are starting a new life in Tyler, there are some things that we still need to make our new apartment feel like home.
