Travel Note
As Barberstown Castle is just outside Dublin, we’d recommend booking accommodation and planning transport early if possible. Dublin city is only a short trip away, so there’s no need to stay outside the city unless you’d prefer to. But if you want to Celbridge and Maynooth are great options We’ve also added a few accommodation suggestions below to help make planning a little easier.
Travel Note
If you want to book into the hotel for the night of the wedding you can do so using the code A&W23Oct26.

If you’re not renting a car, take the direct Line 120 bus from Dublin to Straffan. It runs hourly, daily from stops including Connolly Station, George’s Quay, and Heuston Station, takes about 35–45 minutes from Heuston, and stops at St. Brigid’s Church in central Straffan. You can se the bus schedule below
Travel Note
While Straffan village doesn't have its own train station, it sits right between two major lines. You can take a train out of Dublin and take a 10-minute taxi for the final leg: Option A: Take the Commuter/Maynooth line train from Dublin Connolly to Maynooth Station, then grab a local taxi down to Straffan. Option B: Take a train from Dublin Heuston to Sallins & Naas Station, and grab a short taxi north to Straffan.
