Day One

June 2014

Scott and I met the old fashioned way; on Facebook. LOL! He messaged me one day and told me I was very pretty. I told him "thanks." For some reason, intuition told me to creep his page. What a handsome fella did I find! I sent him a friend request and the talking began. This part of the story he will say happened a lot differently, but this is how it really happened! We had been talking for about a month. He was constantly asking me to meet up. I was a little apprehensive at first until he said, "It's a free meal." Me, loving food, of course said yes. It has been destiny since that first date in his sister's truck at Rib and Chop House. Rainbow wave and all. ❤

The Proposal

October 22, 2017

I was told we were all getting together at my Uncle's house to celebrate my cousin's birthday, and to have a pumpkin carving contest. Scott of course picked the A-team consisting of him, my mom, and my two cousins. I got stuck with all the little kids. My grandpa was supposed to be the judge. He came and looked at ours, and then everyone went over to the other side. When I came around the corner, Scott was standing in the middle of the yard. It took my brain a minute to process that he had carved "Will you marry me?" into the pumpkins. He dropped to one knee and I lost it. Our future forever began that day.
