Wedding Party

Meet our friends and family who are walking down the aisle with us!

Aimee Roberts

Bride

Samantha Marchelletta

Bride

Alison Degloria

Maid of Honor

Alison and I met way back in high school and would occasionally hang out together since we shared the same circle of friends.. However, it wasn't until one fateful day in the fall of 2017 on my first day of grad school at Boston College when I ran into Alison on the commons when we truly began a friendship. If it weren't for Alison's ability to have blunt honesty while at the same time saying things as nicely as possible, I can only imagine where I'd be right now (probably still making less than ideal life decisions). I wish I had become best friends with Alison sooner. She has been one of the most consistent people in my life and I will forever be honored to have her in my life and as my co-Maid-of-Honor.

Jackie Marchelletta

Maid of Honor

Jackie and I have been sisters for so long (lol). Sisters since November of 1995, and ever since then she's been the biggest pain in my ass...BUT, also the best sister I could ever ask for. From playing all the same sports and sharing a locker in high school to her always asking to hang out with my friends, Jackie has been the best teammate, friend and sister I could ask for. When I asked Jackie to be my Maid of Honor her response was "wow, thanks" with the most monotone voice on the planet...but if you know Jackie as well as I do.. you would expect nothing less. I wouldn't be able to walk down the aisle without her there!

Oskar Lilienthal

Man of Honor

Oskar "dad" Lilienthal and I have been the best of friends since our very first week of grad school at Boston College School of Social Work. Ever since then, Oskar has supported me through all my shenanigans, including lending me his living room for all-nighters when I saved literally all of my assignments for the last minute, dating the wrong girls (and standing up for me when they all eventually went awry), and moving my wedding THREE TIMES NOW. I loved that I was able to stand by him when he married the love of his life Erin, and now I wouldn't be able to get married without Oskar as my co-Man-of-Honor by my side.

Alexis Demopoulos

Bridesmaid

Alexis and I started becoming friends senior year in high school but didn't become best friends until the summer going into college (MCC). What's even funnier is in her high school yearbook I wrote "I'm so glad we became friends, hope to see you around". And little did I know I'd be attending Demopoulos family parties and endless amounts of Red Sox games and just generally being a part of the greatest family! Now here we both are, planning my wedding! Look out for her dance moves ladies and gentleman.. she's going to tear up that dance floor and walk it out.

Brett Roberts

Bridesman

Brett and I never got along when we were younger - I was jealous of him since the day he popped out the womb. However, I eventually got over no longer being the only child and our relationship significantly improved. Brett always challenges me to think in different ways and I am grateful for that, even though we don't always see eye to eye. Brett is excited to be supporting his big sister as a bridesman, and I am equally as excited that Brett will be ditching his usual tie-dye/flannel for a suit to support Sam and I on our big day.

Julia Demopoulos

Bridesmaid

I've known Julia for quite some time now. From being friends with Alexis so long, I've adopted Julia as another sister. You can always expect to get an awesome birthday text and to always get a good laugh after she roasts her older sister Alexis. The best thing about Julia is that you can always count on her to be there - she always has been for me! Also no.... Julia and Alexis are not twins..... they just happen to look very similar. Look out for her dance moves too, the Demopoulos family knows how to get down.

Matthew Roberts

Bridesman

Despite our big age gap, Matt and I always got along as kids. Now that we're older, Matt is thrilled to be a bridesman for me, as evidenced by his first response to me asking him to be in the wedding - "what do I have to do for it...". I am trusting that Matt will show up on Sam and my big day, unlike #cruisegate2019 when Matt did not request work off far enough in advance and missed our family vacation that had been planned for well over a year (no hard feelings but for the love of god remember to take work off so you don't miss my wedding). Nevertheless, I am very excited to have my littlest bro be in my party!

Alyssa Marchelletta

Bridesmaid

As you can see from the last names, Alyssa is my cousin! Alyssa is a bright, caring gal who may seem a little quiet when you first meet her but she is extremely funny! One time (which she may not remember) we were at my uncle's house when she was really young, maybe around 6 or 7 years old, and we were sitting on the ground talking, when all of the sudden she turned and looked at me and said "you know Sammy, if you have any boy problems you can always call me" in a very caring, serious tone. I laughed and said "shouldn't I be saying that to you?". Little did she know that boys wouldn't be much of an issue (lol). I'm so excited to have her stand for me on Aimee and my day!

Kendra Buck

Bridesmaid

Kendra, big, whatever I call her - this girl knows me inside and out and has been there through all my shenanigans in college and beyond (and still to this day). When I was a lost little sophomore I met my big and she instantly turned into a mentor for me. She may not realize it but she had a huge impact on how my adult self turned out to be. She instilled a confidence in me to always be myself, even if others don't necessarily like it. She's always there to give advice and also shots of vodka, even if some of the time she throws it up because she doesn't have a gallbladder. Kendra understands me to my core, and even though we've both grown up over the years (she's a mom now!), my wedding wouldn't be the same without her.

Vincent Marchelletta

Bridesman

Here's another cousin of mine! Vincent is a very caring and funny kid. You can always expect a hug from him greeting you as you come to a party as well as when you leave. It's meant a lot to me seeing him go out of his way to make Aimee feel like part of the family, like messaging her on her birthday and also when we got engaged! He's very easy to talk to and he knows a lot about a lot of different things. Like most kids, he's a master on Snapchat. He probably has some of the most ugly, crazy pictures of me (as he likes to put crazy filters on me and everyone else at family parties). He also likes to crack jokes and tell stories so I'm sure he'll be at everyone's table at some point during the night to give you all a great laugh!

Rachel Kratchman

Bridesmaid

Rachel and I met at UMass way back in 2014 when we both rushed our old sorority! She was supportive from the beginning, and one of the first girls that I came out to in the chapter. Rachel, being the sweetest and most kindhearted person I know, accepted me with open arms and we've been friends ever since. She has been nothing but supportive to me our entire friendship and I know I can count on her for anything. We were even roommates in college our senior year (RIP Swhit, the best times) and was there for me throughout the ups and downs and everything else I've been through. I can't wait for Rachel to stand for me at my wedding (now that I finally found the right person!!).

Jonathan Rosado

Bridesman

Jonathan and I have been the best of friends for almost 4 years now! It all started at Edible Arrangements where we were both "fruit experts". When I first met Johnny I thought he was pretty mean because on our first morning working together I asked him to help me blow up balloons for an arrangement, and he literally stared at me and ignored me. But, now we are the best of pals and I can always count on him to be there. He's my right hand man and I couldn't imagine standing up there without him. He's the brother I always wanted. Love you Johnny boy, look at that smile!!

Jay Demopoulos

Officiant

When we were figuring out who should marry us the first person that popped into Sam's head was Uncle Jay. He's an uncle to Alexis and Julia, and Sam is his honorary niece! He's a lover of reading books, Aroma's coffee and of course Madonna. So, once Madonna comes on, you know he'll be out there singing every word and dancing like no one's watching. We wouldn't want anyone else to marry us - and do you want to know why? Because in the words of Jay, "Greeks just do it better"! and Jay.. don't forget the name is Aimee... not Sarah.
