FAQs

The Wedding Website of Aimee Ridella and PJ Nemish
Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

No. While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration (minus the kiddos in our ceremony, who will head home after their duties). We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the evening with us!

Question

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

No. We wish to have a phone and camera free ceremony. Please put your phones away, and on silent. We promise, the wedding photographer is amazing.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress in cocktail attire (according to ChatGPT this is "suits, ties optional for men" and "knee length or midi dress, no need for floor length dresses for women"...do what you will with this information) that is appropriate for June in Michigan as (weather permitting) the ceremony and dancing will be on the rooftop. Dinner will be held indoors.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The Detroit Opera House for both :) It is located at 1526 Broadway Street.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

The Detroit Opera House Parking Center is located at 1426 Broadway Street, with entrances on John R. Street and E. Grand River Avenue.

Question

Is Detroit safe? Can I leave my car somewhere?

Answer

Yes. Like any city, lock your car and don't leave valuables in it. Detroit has "sketchy" areas but our wedding will not take place in one of them, and our "Things To Do" are well vetted (by us).

Question

What airport should we fly into?

Answer

Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is the closest airport. It's also a Delta hub (bonus)!

Question

How should we get around Detroit?

Answer

Detroit is also known as the Motor City...so most people have cars. You can bike, walk, take Lyfts/Ubers, scooter or QLINE as well.
