Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception are on-site at: St Audries Park, West Quantoxhead TA4 4DS There is parking available on-site.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests are welcome to arrive at the venue from 11:00am, with the bar open from this time. We kindly ask that guests arrive NO LATER THAN 12:00PM, as guests will be escorted to the Orangery shortly afterwards. The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00pm. For those staying on site, room check-in is available from 12:00pm. A designated changing room will also be available from 11am should you wish to change upon arrival.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors at St Audries Park. The ceremony will be held in the beautiful Victorian Orangery, located on-site within the grounds, followed by the reception in the main Manor House. There is a very short walk between the Orangery and the Manor House. Whilst both elements of the day are indoors, there is of course a small chance of rain, so umbrellas will be available if needed. That said, we will be burying a sausage the night before (an old wives’ tale for good weather), so fingers crossed for a dry day!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Whilst we adore your little ones, with the exception of immediate family members who are part of the wedding party, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this allows you to relax, let your hair down, and enjoy the day and evening without worrying about early bedtimes or parental duties! We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to venue capacity limitations, we are unfortunately unable to offer a plus one to all guests. If a plus one has been allocated to you, this will be clearly indicated on your invitation. Unless your invitation specifically includes a guest or names your partner, we are unable to accommodate additional attendees. We kindly ask that you take note of this when you receive your invitation. Thank you for your understanding - we wish we could celebrate with everyone, but numbers are limited.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We are pleased to let our day guests know that we hope to be able to offer on-site accommodation to the vast majority of those who would like to stay at the venue. As we are personally coordinating all room allocations with the venue, all on-site accommodation must be booked directly through us and cannot be booked with the venue independently. If your preference is to stay on site, please do not make alternative accommodation arrangements at this stage. We will confirm room availability and allocation details closer to the date and will do our very best to accommodate everyone's requests wherever possible. Our wedding venue offers a selection of on-site accommodation, which we highly recommend for convenience. Whilst we would love to accommodate everyone on site, this unfortunately may not be possible. We will be prioritising on-site rooms for day guests wherever possible, and all venue rooms must be booked directly through us, as we are coordinating allocations with the venue. Rooms at the venue range from £145–£185 per night and include breakfast the following morning. Check-in is available from 12pm. We will do our very best to accommodate requests and will confirm details closer to the date. **Nearby Accommodation Options** For guests wishing to stay nearby, the following options are located within a short distance of the venue: * The Windmill Inn – 0.4 miles * Home Farm Holiday Centre (caravans & cottages) – 2.1 miles * The Hood Arms – 3.1 miles * West Somerset Hotel – 3.5 miles * Combe House Hotel & Restaurant – 5.5 miles **Additional options near Bridgwater** * Premier Inn Bridgwater North – 16.6 miles * Travelodge Bridgwater M5 – 17 miles *Distances are approximate driving distances from the venue.*

Question

Are taxis available?

Answer

We hope that many of our guests will be able to stay in the on-site accommodation at St Audries Park for convenience. However, as we are expecting a large number of guests, it may not be possible to accommodate everyone on site. For those staying elsewhere, we will be happy to provide details of recommended local taxi companies closer to the date, to help you arrange transport back to your hotel or accommodation at the end of the evening.

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Dress Code: Formal Evening Attire We’re encouraging everyone to dress to impress and bring a touch of glamour! Women: Long dresses, gowns, or elegant pantsuits
Men: Suit and tie (black tie welcome but not required) We kindly and strongly ask guests to avoid the following colours please, as they are reserved for the wedding party: chocolate brown, pale blue, champagne tones, and gold or golden tones. And of course, please do not wear white or very pale neutrals (including any shade that may appear close to white, even as a base colour). More information regarding the dress code can be seen on the "Dress Code" tab.

Question

Do you have a Gift Registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding truly is the greatest gift we could ask for, and we feel incredibly grateful to be able to celebrate such a special day surrounded by the people we love most. We have chosen not to create a traditional gift list, as we are lucky enough to already have everything we need. However, for those who have kindly asked, if you would like to give a gift, we would be so grateful for a contribution of any size towards our honeymoon, where we hope to create some unforgettable memories together as newlyweds. Please know that there is absolutely no expectation whatsoever - your support, presence, and sharing this day with us means more than we could ever ask for.

Question

What happens if I have dietary requirements?

Answer

We want everyone to enjoy the celebrations and the meal, so please let us know of any dietary requirements, allergies, or intolerances when you RSVP. We will ensure these are shared with the venue and caterers in advance so that suitable alternatives can be arranged for you.

Question

Can I take photos during the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that our ceremony be an unplugged moment. In order for everyone to be fully present with us during one of the most important moments of our lives, we ask that guests please refrain from using phones or cameras during the ceremony. We have chosen wonderful professional photographers and a videographer who will capture every special moment, and we will of course share these photos with you afterwards. After the ceremony, we would absolutely love for you to help us capture the celebrations, so please feel free to snap away and share in the joy of the day!

Question

Can I share photos on social media?

Answer

We’d love for you to share the joy of our special day! Please feel free to post photos and memories on social media, and do tag us so we can relive the celebrations from every angle. Please also feel free to use our wedding hashtag #MulhallMeetsBareford We kindly ask, however, that guests refrain from posting photos of us, the bride and groom, until we’ve had the chance to share our first photos ourselves. Thank you for helping us savour those first announcements.

Question

Is The Venue Accessible?

Answer

St Audries Park offers disabled access via the main entrance, with ramps available for wheelchair users to key areas of the venue, including the Orangery where the ceremony takes place. Accessible toilet facilities are available on the ground floor, and there is also a disabled-friendly bedroom on site. As St Audries Park is a historic manor house, some areas may have limitations. If you or your guest have specific accessibility requirements, please do let us know in advance so we can help ensure everything is as comfortable as possible.
