We first met at Camp Luther of Nebraska when I (Aimee) was working as a camp counselor during her first summer there. He (Elisha) was a volunteer during a week of His Kids, a special needs ministry. We knew of each other through that year, but it was the following summer when we worked together at Camp Luther that things hit off between us. We started out as friends, even best friends, but both of us knew that when we started dating, it would become something special! We quickly realized that we were each other's "person", and started out our adventure together. Let us tell you, it truly is an adventure. We have such a special relationship, all thanks to the glory of the Lord.

What a roller-coaster ride this proposal was. He (Elisha) had taken a few of my friends (and even some of my friends from home on facetime) to help him buy a ring and had them all help him plan the proposal. We had talked about the proposal and ideas of what it might look like for quite some time now, so He kind of knew what he wanted to do. He had my best friend and my roommate take me on a best friend photoshoot, going to different towns between Seward and Columbus. We had eventually ended up at Camp Luther, where he had planned a scavenger hunt around the camp of important places and memories that eventually led me to the gazebo, where it all began. He got down on one knee and asked me the most important question of our lives. We are so excited to spend forever together and make more memories!
