Josh and Aileen met at a church event in December 2022. They quickly became friends and were always in contact even though Aileen was from California and Josh was from Oregon. They would video call each other with their friends and talk almost every night. When Josh would come into town for church retreats they would also spend time together and quickly fell in love. With a year and a couple of months of knowing each other and their parents' blessing, they got engaged and the rest is history.
