UPDATE: All rooms currently at the hotel are booked. We currently have a waitlist with the hotel for the Friday and Saturday night. If any rooms are available, we will be notified, and can spread the word. There are hotel options close by in Talbot Hotel in Carlow and Clanard Court Hotel in Athy. There are also airbnb and B&B's in the area if you would prefer. I would advise to book accommodation that is refundable, if rooms do become available and you want to stay on-site. Booking Kilkea Castle Hotel

All rooms must be booked online using this code to avail of the discounted rate. Please log onto the website and choose either the Castle/Carriage Rooms or the Lodge Bedrooms and enter the PROMO CODE 168251. Once the code has been entered it will bring you through to the Wedding Page. You will scroll down and amend check-in and check-out dates. After booking your reservation, if you have children or want to be in a room block with family members, you must email reservations@kilkeacastle.ie. Regarding allocating rooms together guests can request this, it will be subject to availability and is based on all guest requirements. We always do our best to accommodate these requests where possible.

You will find plenty of properties either on Airbnb or VRBO in the area.

Car Rentals at Airport

At dublin airport, are many options for car rentals. Most of the cars will be manual, you have to request an automatic upon booking, as those will be limited. You will need insurance as well, for the cars. Some credit cards do offer insurance but be sure to call your credit card before coming, as some require letters upon arrival, and a larger hold deposit on the card.

Public Transportation

You can get a bus directly (736) from Dublin Airport to Castedermot, which is the town the venue is located in. It is about a seven minute drive, from the town to the castle.
