Rose Garden to Red Oak Room

Answer

The Rose Garden is on the grounds side of Cantigny, while the Reception is in the Red Oak Room on the golf course side. Shuttles will be available for transportation, but you are more than welcome to drive your car.

We'll have an hour blocked for the ceremony. The latter 30 minutes will be utilized for attendees to walk around the grounds, see the tanks, visit the WW2 museums, or simply take fantastic pictures in the gorgeous gardens. Cocktail hour will not start before 5:30, but if you would rather grab a drink during that time, you can utilize the restaurant bar right next to the Red Oak Room.

If you're like me, looking at a menu beforehand is part of the fun. We'll be serving appetizers during cocktail hour, and, of course, an open bar will be available for the night. The bar will close down for an hour during dinner, but wine will be served throughout that time. Instead of plated, we decided to go with family-style dining. If you're not familiar, this is where everyone will get to enjoy each entree, side, and appetizer. If you run out of food, Cantigny is prepared to bring more. The salad will be a classic garden salad, and the entree options are strip loin steak with red wine sauce (GF), chicken vesuvio with garlic and herb sauce (GF, DF), and rigatoni alla vodka (V). Sides will include broccolini and garlic mashed potatoes (GF). Le Chocolat cake for all will follow.
