Valles Caldera

The Valles Caldera was created about 1.25 million years ago after a volcanic eruption created the 13-mile wide circular depression now known as the Valles Caldera. Fuller Lodge
Reception
The Fuller Lodge was built in 1928 using over 700 Ponderosa Pines from the Jemez Mountains and was used as the original dining hall for the Boys Ranch School. In 1942, the lodge and surrounding area was purchased to be used for the Manhattan Project, AKA the top secret development of the atomic bomb.
