We met while we were working at Parks and Recreation. I (Railey) was working in the concession stand while he was working the chains at the football games. Then they started putting us together to work the front gate. I made a comment to another co-worker that I thought he was cute, which she later told to him to encourage him to ask for my number. What she did worked, and he smoothly asked for my number and we haven't stopped talking ever since.

During our three years (and counting) relationship, we have toughed it out through over two years of long distance. The first stint was in our first year, I (Railey) spent 5 months in Spain studying abroad. We joked at the time about how maybe that was God testing us to do it again for a longer amount of time. Little did we know, that was the truth. After graduating college, I felt a call to missions in Mexico and by the time we get married will have spent two years teaching ESL in Oaxaca, Mexico. We are so grateful for how the Lord has grown us together even through thousands of miles of distance.

While I was back for Christmas and New Year's vacation, we went to Noccalula Falls State Park in Alabama to see the Christmas lights. We were taking pictures for fun, and Aidyn said we should walk to a secluded spot where there were trees covered with lights to take pictures. As we were taking pictures I felt him move behind me and I turned around and he was on one knee! And needless to say, I very excitedly said yes.
