We first met in October of 2023 when Aidan started working security for the church Emma was a pastor at, but neither of us talked to each other for basically a whole year even though we were both already interested. Then, Emma struck up a conversation with Aidan one day in the lobby, was accused of flirting (which she was NOT at that point), and from there questions of interest were raised. Aidan didn't know if he wanted to ask Emma on a date because at that time she didn't eat red meat and he didn't like coffee (the important things, ya know). We kept talking in person whenever Aidan was working at the church and Emma eventually got impatient enough and asked Aidan if he would like to go get ice cream. Aidan took it from there and made the plan for our first date at Cold Stone on December 15, 2024! From there we went on three dates in a week - ice cream, looking at Christmas lights, and the shooting range - which all reallllyyy make sense with who we are. Aidan officially asked Emma to be his girlfriend on December 24, 2024 and we've been together ever since! We've gotten to go to four different states and two countries so far together - which all really solidified our relationship! Then, Aidan proposed on February 27, 2026 at Lauritzen Gardens in the greenhouse. We are so excited for the future and all that it holds for us. We can't wait to be 80 years old, sitting on a porch, watching our grandkids play. But for now, we just can't wait to get married! 🤍
