6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Casual Attire: Come comfy! Don't forget your gov't issued ID!
We'll be hanging out at this funky spot on Friday night! We'll have soda, mocktails, beer, wine, and appetizers available...we can't wait to see those who can make it. Please feel free to come and go as you please around your other evening plans (dinner, shows, bar hopping, etc) - this is a centrally-located Chicago institution, so easy access to lots of local hotspots! 21+, valid ID required for entry! Transportation: paid meter parking is available in the area but can be inconsistent/require a few laps on a Friday night. Alternately, we recommend arrival by Uber/Lyft or taking public transportation.
3:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Daytime Semi-Formal Attire: Ladies, think silhouettes like dresses, skirts, jumpsuits - any length is appropriate. Summer colors, airy fabrics, and prints are welcome. Aidan will be wearing white! Suggestions for the men: a sport coat with trousers, or a simple shirt and trouser combo - linen and lighter fabrics welcome. Yes to collars, ties not required.
3-4pm: Arrival Window. We are not having a formal ceremony, so please trickle in to the Post Office at your leisure! We will be prepared to host guests as early as 3pm, but please plan to arrive by 4pm so that we can maximize our enjoyment of games and activities together. 4-6pm: Cocktail Hour. We will be hosting games and activities on the second floor of the building during this "social hour"; we look forward to mingling and introducing our family and friends. Refreshments and light bites included! 6pm-10pm: Dinner and Dancing. We will move up to the rooftop for an evening of food, dancing, sentimental moments, and merriment. We can't wait to boogie with you!
3:00 pm - 10:00 pm
TRAVEL DETAILS: Our suggestion is to arrive via Uber, Lyft, or public transportation! It is a VERY large building, so keep an eye on the "destination address": 433 W Van Buren St, Chicago. This will drop you off at the front doors (there is a row of flags above the doors) and you can go in the door farthest to the left (closest to the river!); there will be signage and staff to help you from there. If you choose to drive, PLEASE plan ahead for timing - there is not an easy parking lot, so any parking will likely add 10-15 minutes to your commute. We also do not suggest parking IN the Post Office, though you will see on the map that the building has a parking garage. INSTEAD, we suggest parking in 333 S Clinton (across the street from the Post Office entrance - SP+ Parking, 24hr) for $40 or booking a reservation via SpotHero within a couple of blocks for a lower cost option. 326 S Wells and 311 S Wacker are relatively easy garages right across the river from the venue.
