Downtown Burbank is quite charming and will be decorated for the Holidays! 
Including a festive ice skating rink. Lots of bars, restaurants, and shops too.

There is a TON of stuff to do close by in order to have a true Hollywood experience. Would suggest perhaps coming a day early or leaving a day later if you really want to soak it in. However, Downtown Hollywood is only a 15 minute Uber away and walking the strip can be a quick activity!

Universal Studios is very close and is a genuine theme park experience! With "Mario Land" as their brand new attraction!

Warner Brothers Studios is also close and has an excellent tour of the lot!
