One of our favorite restaurants, especially for celebrations. Pro tip: Don't sleep on the New Fashioned if you're a bourbon fan. The BBQ Short Rib and the Hibachi Steak are among our go-to items, and we love everything on the brunch menu.
Refindings
One of the coolest architectural salvage places to just poke around and look at old artworks and antiques. We love spending a few hours here when we can.
American Daydream Miscellanea
Really fun spot full of antiques, memorabilia, oddities and pop culture items. Beautifully curated mix of found and handmade items for the weirdo in all of us.
Collusion Tap Works
We came here on a few of our first dates, and visit frequently now that we only live 25ish minutes away. The Fuzzy Scrumpit is amazing, and the pumpkin beer should be in season during our wedding — easily one of the best pumpkin beers in the game. Great food, too, and it's located right in the beautiful mural park in Royal Square, just minutes from the Yorktowne Hotel.
Murals and Public Art
There is no shortage of beauty to take in while walking around York! There are gorgeous murals painted around the city as well as unique statues and other unique art pieces from block to block, especially in Royal Square. York Revolution
Looking for a fun way to spend some time outside while also relaxing? The minor league MLB team in town, York Revolution, is a fun way to spend a Friday night. The fruit race with kiddos racing around the field in fruit costumes is literally one of the funniest things you can ever witness.
Appell Center for the Performing Arts
Gorgeous venue for live music, movies, comedy shows and more. Looks like The Price is Right Live is in town the night before our vows, so... "Come on Down!"
Timeline Arcade
Fun place for nerds and gamers alike! This cool haunt is all ages and is pretty affordable for adult arcade standards.
Regal West Manchester
If Aidan goes missing during the wedding weekend, this is the first place to check. Great movie theater — decent sound and vision setup and really comfy seats.
The York County Heritage Rail Trail
For our outdoorsy folks, this is an excellent way to spend some time in nature whether on wheels or on your feet! Beautiful trail that runs from the southern tip of the county/Maryland border up through northern York County.
The Dark Parlour
Very cool oddities and arts spooky haunt in Royal Square.
King George Speakeasy
Cool bar with great cocktails! Go for the viiiibes.
Lake Redman
Another gorgeous spot in nature for those of you looking to catch some rays.
The Haines Shoe House
Primarily an airbnb now, but a healthy dose of Americana roadside attractions of yore. You can visit for photo ops!
Archetype Pizza
Amazing pizza. Drag bingo every Thursday. Excellent cocktails. What's not to love?
Prince Street Cafe
An excellent place to hang out, grab some coffee or a 'dilla, relax. Go for a bite, stay for the vibes.
Ruins Hall
Our lovely and fabulous friends Kate and Matthew care for this amazing public art venue. If you visit to check out the artwork, try not to be a jerk.
Gift Horse Brewing Company
Great beer, awesome atmosphere, good food! If you're looking for a nice spot to hang while you're in town, both the inside dining area and outdoor patio are a nice place to enjoy some of the best of York.
