The dress code is a bright/summery semi-formal. For reference, the bridesmaids will have summery dresses and the groomsmen will NOT have full suits. The average high temperature for July 23rd is 87 F, but low humidity, shade, or rain can often help.
Summer afternoons in Colorado often bring light rain. If it's not raining, it will likely be bright and sunny; bring sun protection!
The ceremony will be indoors. The reception will be centered indoors but with access to the outdoor garden area.
We recommend renting a car, taking an Uber/Lyft, or coordinating with other guests. Public transportation is not great in Colorado Springs.
When you arrive at ProRodeo Hall of Fame, drive around back to enter at the garden gate (not the museum entrance).
Guests may park in the church parking lot, or along San Miguel Street. There should be ample parking at both the church and the reception venue.
You are welcome to take your own pictures. We are hoping to have a google drive album that everyone can contribute to. BUT, please avoid flash photography!
As is standard in an Anglican wedding service, we will be serving communion during the ceremony. Anglican communion is open to all baptized followers of Christ. If this is not you, or for some other reason you cannot partake, you can remain in your seat during communion. Or, you are welcome to come forward with arms crossed over your chest to receive a prayer of blessing instead.
Smoking is prohibited outside of specially designated areas. This will be a dry event - no alcohol, please!
We are planning to have the service recorded. If you are not able to come in person but would like to watch the recording, feel free to contact us after the event for the recording. We are also hoping to have the ceremony live-streamed. Contact us ahead of time if you would like the details for that.
