Question

Where is the wedding? Indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception are at the Lynchburg City Armory (1200 Church St, Lynchburg, VA 24504). This is an event space in Downtown Lynchburg that is handicap-accessible. If you received an invitation that says to go to Riveredge Park, please ignore; that was the previous plan before the new venue was decided upon.

Where can I park?

Answer

There is street parking on both sides of the street in front of the Armory (Church St.), as well as a small parking lot at the Lynchburg Community Market (Main St.). If you use a wheelchair/have mobility issues, it is better to park on the street: parking at the Community Market requires you to take a set of stairs to get to The Armory.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Casual/Cocktail (think button-up shirts and church dresses). However, if you want to take the opportunity to be fancy (suit/tie and long dresses), we welcome it!

What will the food be like?

Answer

Catering will be by Hot & Cold Cafe in Downtown Lynchburg. It is a Mediterranean/Indian restaurant with excellent food, owned by a very sweet local couple. We have made sure that there are crowd-pleaser, mild-spice dishes to suit everyone (and extremely delicious baklava).

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registered anywhere and would most appreciate (if you feel inclined to gift us things) cash gifts or a donation to our honeymoon fund. We are going to be living in Michael's house, which doesn't have a lot of room; there also aren't any household items we feel we need. The best and most appreciated gift is your support in our marriage (but cash helps).
