Aidan and Kirsten met in a quaint little town in northern Washington called Bellingham. Aidan moved to B'ham from Seattle, and Kirsten from Flagstaff, AZ. Both Aidan & Kirsten were freshmen at Western Washington University when they first saw each other in calculus class. Of course, math came naturally to Aidan (he double majored in math and engineering), but he offered to tutor Kirsten just to spend time together. They stayed up until the early hours of the morning listening to Jack Johnson and going over integrals. While the two didn't start dating right away, it was the start of a deep and lasting friendship. The friendship grew over many years until one thing led to another and the two ("finally," according to their mutual friends) got together. Kirsten and Aidan moved to Corvallis, OR to pursue graduate degrees in oceanography and engineering, and after adventuring around the world, are now living together in Seattle, WA. Aidan proposed to Kirsten 500 feet in the air in the middle of a suspension bridge nestled outside the mountains of Andermatt, Switzerland. While they could barely see past their noses in the clouds, the proposal went off without a hitch. The two were all alone on the mountain and after Kirsten said yes, the clouds started to part....just a little. Kirsten and Aidan are so excited for you to join them as they start this new chapter of their lives together!
