Kayley and Aidan met in 2021 at an engagement party in Kayley's hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana. Aidan had become friends with the groom during an internship they'd done in college, and Kayley had been friends with the bride and groom for years. When the two locked eyes for the first time at the engagement party, bystanders claim that actual lightning struck the house the party was being held in. Their connection was electric. After the engagement party was over the two went their separate ways, knowing there was a spark between them but understanding there was a good chance it wouldn't amount to anything. Later on that year, Kayley and Aidan's friends got married and the groom asked Aidan to be a groomsman. The night of the wedding, Kayley and Aidan shared laughs and good times for their first time one-on-one, swapping stories and bonding while eating fries and frosties in a Shreveport casino. The spark between Kayley and Aidan had begun to grow into a small flame. After the wedding when Aidan returned to his home in Tennessee, he and Kayley began to get to know each other more. Occasional texts turned to calls, calls turned to FaceTimes, and soon the contact was daily. Not long after that it was Christmas, and as it turned out, Kayley and Aidan were going to be nearby each other during the holiday week, on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. Aidan saw this as the perfect opportunity to see Kayley in person and invited her to come to Fairhope for a day to see the town and meet his family. By the end of that day, Kayley and Aidan were officially a couple. Over the next nearly 2 years, 600 miles of distance between Kayley and Aidan did not faze them - Aidan got the full Cajun treatment during his many trips to Shreveport, and Kayley's neck quickly turned red from all her time spent in Tennessee. Eventually the two decided to save some money and move in together at Aidan's place, and over the next year the small flame they'd been fanning together grew into a roaring fire. Aidan proposed to Kayley on August 25th, 2024 in Fairhope, Alabama, and he can't wait to marry her there just a few minutes from where he first asked her to be his girl.
