Aidan and I first met when he came to Wheeler Middle school for his 8th grade year. He has Dyslexia which causes him to have an IEP so Wheeler put him into a Read 180 class. I have ADHD so I also have an IEP, I wasn't terrible at English but I wasn't the best at it either, but that class is where we first met. We often read books in that class and did fun activities to go over and get quizzed on them. One of the books we were reading was a Harry Potter book, the activity we did was making a good paragraph about a certain part of the book and two people would go up to present and whoever had the best paragraph won. Aidan and I would battle most mornings in that class on that Harry Potter book. I swear mine were better but Aidan won more somehow even though his paragraphs would repeat most of the time. Surprisingly even though we battled a lot in that class we never talked outside of it. After 8th grade ended and my freshman year was starting I wasn't expecting not to see him not realizing he ended up at a different high school. We followed each other on Instagram in September of 2019 and didn't talk until June 13th of 2020. Aidan had DM'ed me through Instagram talking about read 180. He informed me that we were the only read 180 class ever. We continued talking for a month and started dating August 1st, and we haven't looked back since.
