How we met

First comes school, then comes marriage.

... and a couple steps in between. Aidan and I met in 2014 as we were both pursuing degrees in business and had our core classes together. I thought he was cute and followed him around his frat house party after a tailgate and we laughed and talked together until he showed me the door and I went on my merry way (he didn't even ask for my #...). A couple days later he had asked his friend for my number and texted me saying "hey, it's Aidan". He had a 989 number which to me meant that was a townie so I ignored him for a couple of hours thinking someone was playing a joke on me (I had told a couple friends I thought he was cute!). I ended up responding and we texted paragraphs back and forth all night and the rest was history.

The Proposal

Okay, there was one more step before Marriage

April 18, 2020, I was F I N A L L Y getting my puppy!!!! I'll rewind - On April 18, 2020, we were in the middle of a pandemic (#CoVid19) and our governor had announced that if we were found to be on the road without going to or from an essential location, we would be ticketed. We had to pick up our sweet puppy and could N O T wait any longer so Aidan decided he would drive up to Mio alone to see his parents, and then on the way back he would pick up the puppy and come back home. He told me to have Mav on a walk so that our new pup, Luna, could get the lay of the land before greeting Mav. When Aidan got back home, Mav and I were out on a walk and he called us home. When I got in the door he was standing in the living room with our new sweet puppy!!! I was SO excited. He handed her to me and let me know that he had stopped on the way home to grab her a name tag, I basically ignored this because I was so excited! Aidan told me again to look at her name tag which read "Will you Marry my Daddy?" when I looked up he was on one knee & I said "YES!!"
