Things To Do

Oakledge Park

Oakledge Park

11 Flynn Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401

This is one of our favorite places to stroll in Burlington. The view of Lake Champlain is amazing, and it is a nice, accessible walk. We love to go sit on the rock ledges and just look out at the Adirondacks. Switchback Brewery and Burlington Beer Co. are less than a mile away as well!

Shelburne Orchards

Shelburne Orchards

216 Orchard Road, Shelburne, VT 05482

This is place is home to our new fall tradition! September is the end of their season, so they may have limited types of apples, but when we visited the same time of year in 2024, there were still plenty of apples to pick, cider to drink, and Brandy to try! They do have tractor rides, but this place will not be as accessible.

Camel's Hump Hike

Camel's Hump Hike

Waterbury, VT 05657

There are multiple trailheads and difficulties. You can find more info on their website and on the trailfinder app.

Church Street Marketplace

Church Street Marketplace

131 Church Street, Burlington, VT 05401

I work for the City of Burlington and help program events for Church Street, so I love this place! You can shop, dine and find souvenirs for your loved ones. Church Street is also within walking distance of the Burlington Waterfront, which is a great place to take a stroll. You can get 2 hours of FREE parking at the Downtown Parking Garage off of college street and parking is free on Sundays. If you have questions, just text or call Aida.

Honey Road Restaurant

Honey Road Restaurant

156 Church Street, Burlington, VT 05401

This is a James Beard nominated restaurant that serves killer Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. You can start making reservations two months out, so keep that in mind if you are interested. They book fast!

Pho Hong

Pho Hong

325 North Winooski Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401

We love this place! Every dish is great, but I especially love the Pho. I recently discovered #33, and it might be my favorite dish, but Cat and I split the vegetarian Pho (#9) our first time there, and it was fantastic!

The Café HOT.

The Café HOT.

198 Main Street, Burlington, VT 05401

This is our go-to spot for a super flavorful breakfast sandwich. Everything is vegetarian or vegan, and it all SLAPS! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Devil Takes A Holiday

111 Saint Paul Street, Burlington, VT 05401

A place for inventive cocktails! We don't come here often, but it never disappoints!

Cosmic Grind Coffee Shop

Cosmic Grind Coffee Shop

104 Church Street, Burlington, VT 05401

This is a dog-friendly coffee shop with imaginative ideas! Definitely on the expensive side for a latte, but if you are interested in something different, this is the place to go!

Sneaker's Bistro & Cafe

Sneaker's Bistro & Cafe

28 Main Street, Winooski, VT 05404

Awesome breakfast spot in Winooski! We love to visit Misery Loves Co after eating here.

Waterfront Park

Waterfront Park

20 Lake Street, Burlington, VT 05401

Waterfront Park is a great place to take a walk and view Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks! Foam Brewery is close, and there are multiple places that serve Creemees! We like to walk Luna and split a pizza on the lawn in the summer.

Foam Brewers - Burlington

Foam Brewers - Burlington

112 Lake Street, Burlington, VT 05401

Foam Brewers does an awesome job of constantly innovating and surprising me with their brews. The beer is awesome, and the place has a chill and open atmosphere. They have outdoor seating in the front and back, and they are always busy when we go!

Zero Gravity Brewery

Zero Gravity Brewery

716 Pine Street, Burlington, VT 05401

This is Cat and my favorite brewery. There are a few that we love, but this place has great beer and awesome food. We haven't had any menu item disappoint us.
